Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to work with our Los Angeles team and partner with a key technology client on building industrial development including new builds, retrofits, expansion, and program initiatives from site selection through contract execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost estimating, schedule tracking, and forecasting are fundamental components, including identifying and solving factors that may impede a successful permitted project hand-over to stakeholders.
• Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
• Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
• Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
• Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
• Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
• Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
• Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
• Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as Unions & Tax.
• Supporting our Client’s with monthly presentations.
• Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.
• Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years experience in a construction cost role, developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
• College and/or post-graduate degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role.
• Experience developing program level estimates for medium or large scale construction projects.
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
• Experience estimating construction projects related to packaging processing / logistical facilities with complex equipment or comparable experience.
• Experience working on large commercial real estate and industrial construction projects is beneficial.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $95K-$185K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
