At Definitive Healthcare, the Salesforce Architect is a hands-on technical leader who recommends and designs end-to-end solutions to complex customer problems using Salesforce and other sales and marketing technologies. This highly visible role will be a key player in ensuring our direction is aligned with other enterprise system priorities, including marketing, financial and human resource approaches.
You will work with leadership to set priorities, and then own the roadmap, oversee releases and projects, and manage the developers and admins. Among other duties you will:
- Lead architecture discussions with senior management, contribute to discovery workshops, and make major design decisions.
- Develop a CRM and technology strategy, target architecture, and roadmap to get there.
- Lead technology and solution selection, including working on proof-of-concepts.
- Own vendor relationships, including outside consulting support.
- Manage projects to deliver business requirements on time and on budget.
- Lead or participate in business requirement-gathering and process or system analysis, including the technical aspects of business requirements.
- Lead technical design sessions and translate requirements into well-architected technical solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform.
- Document and present solutions to project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership, in each case at the appropriate level and detail and using industry standard tools as needed (e.g., solution architecture documents, architectural and infrastructure diagrams and solution design documents)
- Support and advise project teams (e.g., recommend and/or validate technical design decisions, advise on technical issues)
- Ensure appropriate integration patterns are used, solutions will scale and handle large data volumes, and we meet all security, privacy, regulatory and performance requirements.
- Oversee implementations, determine environmental and release strategies, ensure best practices are followed, and advise project teams when they have issues and unexpected obstacles.

- Big-picture thinking – You must solve immediate challenges while keeping an eye on the business objectives, the existing IT landscape, longer-term technology trends, and the needs of the team.
- Strong relationship-management skills – You will be both internal and external facing, so you need rapport with the internal team, the end-users of the platform, and with senior management.
