Location: The Rachel Kay Public Relations practice in the NY, NY office at FINN PARTNERS has an exciting job opening for a Public Relations Account Coordinator. We seek qualified current NYC metropolitan area residents who will work a hybrid schedule of 1 weekday in-office/remaining weekdays work remotely - schedule is based on client and team needs
This Public Relations Account Coordinator role requires prior PR work experience or PR internship experience, ideally focused on clients and brands in the healthy foods/healthy beverages/ wellness lifestyle sector. RKPR, a public relations department within FINN Partners, specializes in public relations strategies and campaigns for clients in the good for you food and beverage space, and wellness lifestyle sector. We are seeking an individual with the hunger, hustle and enthusiasm to develop media relationships, write press releases, and assist in administering PR client accounts. Responsibilities:
- Maintains media lists.
- Writes press releases.
- Manages the daily media coverage for clients.
- Joins client PR account calls.
- Develops and maintains relationships with media contacts across all platforms.
- Manages on-site client product inventory.
- Learns about PR and earned media.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, journalism, public relations or marketing.
- Prior PR internship experience or prior entry level work experience in Public Relations (PR agency based prior experience is highly preferred).
- Working knowledge of all digital and social media platforms.
- Energetic, can-do attitude; works effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent written and oral and communications skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
- Creative thinker who brings a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the team.
