3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Sunday - Thursday

11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. plus overtime

*Candidate must be able to work 1st and/or 2nd shift as needed

Primary Responsibilities and Expectations

• Analyze equipment malfunctions and determine cause.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting of secondary plant distribution system (switch gear, breaker panels, wiring / busses, junction boxers, switches, outlets, etc.).
• Familiarization with local, state and national electrical codes.
• Perform minor instrument repairs.
• Maintain instrument repair program with outside vendors.
• Familiarization with common preventive maintenance practices as well as the importance of the record keeping accuracy associated with it.
• Process work orders.
• Participates in plant safety / housekeeping audits to ensure a safe work environment.
• Candidates must be able to work a flexible shift when needed. This will require switching shifts to cover other Maintenance Mechanics or support plant projects.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Physical Demands

• High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years’ maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience.
• Electrical experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand blue prints, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Process working knowledge or pneumatic, HVAC and plumbing skills.
• Familiarity with hand/power tools.
• Basic computer skills a plus.
• Ability to obtain a fork lift license.
