The Senior Financial Business Systems Analyst will be responsible to:

  • Act as the principal departmental resource relating to the daily operations, development, and administration of the hospital’s financial information and reporting systems.
  • Maintain and administer the financial systems in partnership with internal and external resources. Provide support for critical business process and technology. Support, author and distribute key financial and operational reports, management and executive level queries, analytics and presentation materials. Recognize and test assumptions and data. Support month-end tasks and processes.
  • Use knowledge of PC software products, mainframe financial systems, downloads, and other databases to design workable models. Manage and maintain the financial information systems database including chart of accounts and support system upgrades and modifications. Provide direction to finance staff on systems processes, data flow, controls and interfaces for financial information systems.
  • Serve as liaison with Information Systems Department (ISD) and various technology vendors on an as needed basis.  Identify performance improvement/system tuning opportunities. Develop and provide end-user training.
  • Identify and assess functionality to address customer pain points and support various Business process improvement initiatives. Involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Responsible for gathering and documentation of functional requirements, application design, piloting, build support, test plan/script development and execution, assistance and at times leading of deployment plans as well as end-user training.
  • Act as Project Lead responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation and tracking mechanisms such as: project plans, meeting minutes, risks, action items, issues and key business decisions.
To qualify, you must have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business/Information Technology or related field and 5 years of related experience is required.
  • Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses and summarize the information and data.
  • Remote position with the exception of CA state.
