Transport Refrigeration Services is hiring a reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Parts Clerk to join our growing team in Johnstown, NY for our night shift. If you’ve worked in a dealership or fleet maintenance setting, we want to hear from you!

💼 Job Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:

As a Parts Clerk, you’ll support our service shop by ensuring that parts are ordered, stocked, and managed efficiently:

Order parts from preferred vendors
Create purchase orders and manage invoices
Receive, stock, and organize parts inventory
Maintain bin locations and inventory levels
Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits
Support technicians by supplying necessary parts
Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and slow-moving inventory
Operate a forklift to load/unload parts
Keep the parts department clean and organized
Answer calls and deliver outstanding customer service
Process warranty claims and invoices
Review work orders for accuracy
Coordinate repairs for over the road breakdowns
Perform other shop support tasks as assigned

✅ Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

3+ years of experience (preferred) with automotive, commercial truck/trailer, transport refrigeration or heavy-duty truck parts (dealership experience a plus)
Forklift certified (or willing to obtain certification)
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Willingness to travel for occasional training
Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent attention to detail and a team-first mindset
