What are we looking for? Three years of experience in group exercise instruction. Bachelor's degree preferred in exercise physiology, exercise science, or other closely related field. Certification in group exercise is required from an organization recognized by Headquarters Marine Corps (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, Cooper Institute). Certification in one "specialty" format (i.e., step, cycle, Pilates, kickboxing, yoga) is required. Ability to develop and implement exercise classes. Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified. Ability to supervise; deal effectively with subordinates, management officials, and patrons; communicate both orally and in writing, to include public speaking. Ability to use a computer and various software, including Microsoft Office. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.
