About the role

The Logistics Leader is responsible for the procurement and management of 3rd party goods and logistics vendors.  They will be responsible for the end to end distribution operations including Distribution Centers, Transportation, and Purchasing.  Your responsibilities include being the main administrator of logistics systems:  supplier purchasing portals (finished goods and supplies), transportation management system (TMS), and Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will be responsible for end to end procure to pay process of finished goods and supplier compliance management (Collection of logistics fees, management of Master Service Agreements and insurance certificates). This is an in-office role based in Doral, FL. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:The objectives of the role are to lead all purchasing & logistics processes that:
  • Find savings in logistics services and processes with improved utilization & efficiencies, solution design, and RFPs & smarter procurement     
  • Eliminate/ minimize risk from suppliers and logistics partners through improved due diligence and risk monitoring processes
  • Automate and delegate manual tasks to 3rd parties, eliminate clerical work with the use of AI/ RPA, EDI, and 3rd party portals 
  • Establishes and tracks process metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Manages processes and operations for Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Control, and Materials Management that includes but not limited to raw materials, samples, parts, equipment, and general supplies.
  • Collaborates with the Leadership on the strategic planning of the group.
  • Implements, manages, and monitors vendor managed programs and services.
  • Responsible for the management and execution of change management records and tasks.
  • Leads a team of Supply Chain personnel, including organizing and prioritizing goals and objectives in line with business strategy. Organizes workload, prioritizes tasks, organizes training and conducts performance reviews.
  • Partners and collaborates with other functions and leaders to establish and improves processes and procedures to align to the business model, requirements, and strategy.
  • Provides leadership, direction and management of a team, to support execution of the Supply Chain strategy.
  • Provides supervision, training, guidance and performance management to department personnel.
  • Monitors, assesses and communicates risks and delays to project teams and management on a timely basis.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for the operation of Supply Chain activities, ensuring all relevant regulatory and business requirements are met.
  • Develops and implements strategies and goals for specific products, projects, or processes.
  • Creates and effectively communicates supplier, subcontractor and/or vendor agreements and opportunities to the organization.
  • Implements and maintains material and inventory control systems, policies, processes and procedures ensuring that a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • May serve as liaison between the company and the various governmental agencies and/or audit agencies as required. Responsible for managing and responding to audit findings and observations.
  • Reviews, and/or implements changes to controlled documents as needed. May author sections of regulatory documents.
  • May execute supplier agreements in conjunction with Legal and internal clients to ensure contracts terms and conditions are in compliance with corporate and purchasing guidelines.
  • Conducts formal business reviews with key suppliers, subcontractors and/or vendors to discuss performance on a regular basis. Manages against contract performance to ensure that agreed upon cost, service, quality, schedule and flexibility goals are met.
  • Drives improvements that increases efficiency, improves effectiveness, and provides overall benefit to cost
  • May perform Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) to support both internal and external requirements related to warehouse capabilities
  • Maintain metrics and analyze supply chain data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Maintain inventory by reconciling order discrepancies and also ensuring synchronization between company and 3PL for inventory and cycle count execution
  • Assist in creating the company’s supply chain strategy by interfacing regularly with product management, production operations as well as carriers and customers to discuss and improve our logistics processes.
  • Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues to ensure facility is meeting a minimum of 98% on time delivery.
