Accounting Intern

Clean Harbors is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with the monthly financial close, internal and external reporting, and in forecasting budgets.

• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Assist with the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations 
• Help with the preparation of monthly journal entries
• Prepare analyses of income statement accounts as required, including the forecasting of monthly and annual expenses
• Assist with tying out company financial statements and footnotes to be filed in the company’s SEC filings
• Responsible for reading, comprehending, and following the applicable narratives pertaining to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements

• Currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Related field
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to prioritize between multiple tasks
