About the role
Description
Reporting to the site Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, the Inventory Supervisor will oversee all aspects of inventory control for the site. Ensures effective inventory control processes, analyzes physical and systemic inventory, establishes, and maintains inventory discrepancy investigations, and generates appropriate reporting to maintain adequate inventory levels and appropriate control.
Monday - Thursday 5:00 P.M. - 3:30 A.M.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of warehousing, production and/or inventory leadership experience
- Experience in managing bulk hazardous material / chemical inventories a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of 49CFR, 40CFR and 29CFR
- Bachelor’s Degree desirable
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Visio and MS Project experience desirable
- Proven ability to plan and execute physical inventories
- Deacom a plus
Physical Requirements
· Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment
- Oversee staffing and training of inventory control personnel for the company
- Manage inventory employees, establish inventory procedures and policies to ensure proper control, invoicing, management and reconciliation
- Conduct yearly performance evaluations on all employees responsible for
- Establish processes and procedures that support and record production and inventory activities
- Track variances in inventories, reconcile inventory balances between warehouse and production records to preserve inventory integrity, communicate with superiors, peers, subordinates, and customers regarding inventory issues including the existence, cause, and resolution of inventory variances
- Resolve inventory loss issues and achieve inventory loss goals
- Monitor quality issues for inbound inventory, provide feedback and support to customers and vendors oversee all inbound deliveries with respect to scheduling, re-directs and issue resolution.
- Ensure all aspects of quality – including but not limited to recalls, holds and releases, contamination, distress, and disposals
- Review processes that differentiate between internal and external accountability for claims, communicate discrepancies to improve customer satisfaction
- Ensure proper identification and repackaging of damaged product with regard to disposal or the return to inventory as damaged goods
- Maintain thorough knowledge of GMP regulations and ensure GMP compliance
- Manage the efficient slotting of items
- Manage processes to generate and distribute weekly reports summarizing inventory accuracy through the use of a cycle count program
- Performs other duties as assigned
