Job Profile Summary:

The Transfer Evaluation Assistant will maintain assigned aspects of the academic record by receiving and maintaining student documentation of course work under consideration for transfer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of routine and standardized responsibilities within a college-focused Transcript Evaluation Team.
  • Maintain assigned aspects of the academic record including, but not limited to, receiving and maintaining student documentation of course work under consideration for transfer, and accurately record results in the appropriate systems.
  • Create and maintain all pertinent records in compliance with federal and state laws, university regulations and policies. The associate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to be both a team player and independent contributor.
  • Verify previously completed degrees to determine eligibility for admission into a program.
  • Apply university, department and team policies and procedures in maintaining student documentation.
  • Work as an individual and in a team setting to meet student, team, and department objectives in an accurate, fair, and helpful manner
  • Complete verification of degrees under the direction of a team lead, supervisor/manager by following the standard practice, policies ,and our commitment to students.
  • Collaborate with team lead, supervisor/manager when dealing with difficult and complex events.  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Understand how to apply FERPA regulations to business processes.

  • Work with team to provide solutions to problems of limited complexity and to ensure the academic success of students.
  • Effectively utilize robust web-based and networked applications to maintain and analyze information critical to the daily function environment.
  • Evaluate and interpret documentation and requests as they relate to WGU, U.S. Department of Education, and other policies to determine applicability to student record.
  • Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Stay current on available resources to support the academic success of students.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) to two (2) years of related experience.
  • Requires basic knowledge of processes and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
 

Pay Range: $16.73 - $24.27
