They say that creative folks use the right side of their brains more frequently, while organizational people tend to be more left-brained. Well, we’re looking for someone who knows their way around both sides of their cerebral cortex for this role. An astute and clear-sighted administrative wonder, the Senior Executive Assistant provides organizational leadership and support to Cox Enterprise’s Senior Vice President of Brand | Marketing | Creative. But that’s just a starting point!
In this mission-critical role, you’ll brainstorm programs and initiatives to keep the department inspired and engaged in our bold new world of hybrid work (a flexible mix of in-office and remote work), while leading “air traffic control” ops to plan, monitor and direct our department head’s movements, schedule and priorities. And if we didn’t scare you off with the notion of coming up with creative ideas to inspire a team of creatives, read on to see how you can chart your path to a fun and exciting career destination with our crew at Cox.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with the company’s leadership team, their administrators, and our incredibly passionate and creative Brand | Marketing | Creative team to keep the creative engines of our department humming.
You’ll be counted on for your excellent (and seemingly effortless) interpersonal skills, strong judgment, creative problem solving and confident decision making. You’re adept at keeping sensitive information confidential as well with little to no effort.
You’ll be expected to provide artful and seamless administrative support, including extensive calendar management, meeting prep, travel arrangements, event coordination, budget management and communications.
Naturally, you’ll need to demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality, because you’ll be handling sensitive information. You understand that means showing a keen sense of tact, discretion and good judgment.
You’ll need to exhibit a high degree of innovation and responsiveness so that you can plan, prioritize and organize in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
You probably already anticipated this one: While we’re not looking for a crystal ball gazer, critical thinking and adeptness in anticipating needs is essential.
What’s In It for You
Here’s a sneak peek of the benefits you could experience as a Cox employee:
A competitive salary and top-notch bonus/incentive plans.
Exceptional work-life balance, flexible time-off policies, and accommodating work schedules.
Comprehensive healthcare benefits, with multiple options for individuals and families.
Generous 401(k) retirement plans with up to 8% company match.
Inclusive parental leave policies, plus comprehensive fertility coverage and adoption assistance.

Who You Are/Qualifications
You’re a calm, capable, and charismatic person who knows how to deliver value and help your team shine. You’re service-minded and know when to alert the SVP to items or issues, and also have the judgment to know when that’s not needed. You’re also knowledgeable enough on important matters to feel comfortable saying, “that might be a bad idea” to your boss when you’re confident it’s the right thing to do.
Speaking of the right thing, you’re a model of integrity, able to maintain confidentiality on any and all matters. You understand keeping sensitive details private is just as important as juggling the SVP’s daily agenda or travel plans.
You’re naturally wired to be proactive, and you don’t need any Artificial Intelligence to anticipate and respond to the needs of the executive. Your human intelligence suits you just fine, thank you very much. You collaborate seamlessly, and you’re capable of scheduling, planning and clarifying the purpose of any given communication.
