Job Description

We are seeking to fulfill the role of an Associate Director based in Cork to help growth and expand the Turner and Townsend footprint in the Southern region. As an Associate Director in our Energy and Natural Resources division you will okay a critical leadership role in driving project delivery, business development, client relationship management and team development. You will work closely with senior management to identify key prospective Clients and develop a growth strategy on supporting these Client with delivery of the project portfolios.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the ENR sector, including proposal development and client presentations.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through quality of service delivery and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Responsible for leading the development and delivery of complex projects/programmes.
  • Accountable for defining, developing, interfacing, and delivering complex multi-package projects safely, while managing time, budget, quality, and key performance indicators to ensure successful completion.
  • Take charge of executing the programme, successfully integrating multiple Contracts into a well-functioning, collaborative outcome.
  • Manage, coach and inspire teams to ensure a high-quality of service delivery.
  • Responsible for managing of commission development including framework negotiations, commission set up and financial control and reporting.
  • Foster, sustain, and oversee strong relationships with internal key stakeholders, including government entities.
  • Take ownership on commercial, and contractual matters, in close collaboration with commercial, procurement and legal departments.

Qualifications

  • (MBA, Msc or equivalent) in Engineering discipline preferably with business or economic Specialisation.  
  • Chartered in a relevant profession/discipline.
  • 15+ years experience in management consulting or a combination of consulting and industry experience in the energy and natural resources sector.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and conflict management skills at management and operational levels.
  • Deep knowledge of ENR sector dynamics, including regulatory frameworks, sustainability initiatives and digital solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in business development and account management.
  • Willingness to travel when required within Ireland.
