Overview

Join a dynamic team at HireRight, where innovation and user-centered design drive meaningful solutions. As a UX designer, you will have the opportunity to shape user experiences for industry-leading platforms in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

HireRight is seeking a Senior Product Designer to translate business requirements and customer needs into intuitive, impactful designs for employee tracking, risk management, and compliance-focused software platforms.

In strategic partnership with product managers, marketers, developers, and leadership, you will define, design, and communicate thoughtful design rationales and craft best-in-class UX artifacts. Your strong business acumen and storytelling skills will help solidify features aligned to business goals, enhancing revenue and customer retention.

Responsibilities

  • Apply modern design principles and user-centered methodologies to B2B SaaS and data-driven web and mobile platforms, within a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Create UX designs using sketches, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes using industry standard tools including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Plan and execute research activities including tool selection, participant recruitment, interviews and workshops, and analysis— with support from the product team.
  • Gather insights and synthesize findings to validate designs and identify new opportunities.
  • Lead all stages of the product design process, from feature definition to ideation to low- and high-fidelity designs and preparing assets for development.
  • Mentor junior designers.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience working in a startup, progressive B2B, SaaS, or consumer-based company.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a focus on demonstrating beneficial business outcomes with design.
  • Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, UX content writing, visual design, and strong knowledge of WCAG guidelines.
  • Experience leading the design of a product within a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in conducting user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Competence in using current UX tools and software, including prototyping tools, user testing platforms, and design systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management and the ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback.
  • Proven experience designing mobile-first experiences, as well as responsive and/or Progressive Web Application product experiences.
  • A clear understanding of usability, user-centered design, accessibility, and web standards.
  • Proven experience designing for ancillary product touchpoints such as email, text, and chat-based interactions.
  • Highly proficient in UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates expertise in mobile design and problem-solving in various phases of user-centered design.
  • Staying updated with the latest UX trends, such as AI integration, extended reality, and no-code tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and systems thinking to identify user pain points and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills.
  • Successful management of stakeholders.
