Job Description:
This position includes maintenance and personal services work of a supervisory nature in M&O's contract section that creates, reviews, revises, and assembles bid documents for service and equipment contracts to meet the specific needs of each region. The position coordinates with contractors, suppliers, and Department employees and provides contract process assistance and information; Supervises Contract Crew Leaders and provides guidance and education in the development and assembly of bid documents relating to state M&O service and equipment contracts. The position also assists in administering the Contracts TCL Hands-On Training Pilot Program; works with the Contracts Transportation Operations Manager to accomplish the requirements set by the M&O Contract Manager; works within the Department's financial system to process pay, and reconcile invoices to include Trnsport, CAS, AWP, Free2000 TRACS, Free2000 FINESS, MATS, Dashboard, and Projex. The applicant shall be efficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word and Excel.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
A four (4) year combination of training, experience, and education in highway, bridge, and equipment repair and maintenance and/or construction including at least one (1) year of lead worker experience.
Licensing/Registration/Certification Requirements:
Valid Class C with the ability to obtain a Class A license within probationary period and completion of the 30 hour OSHA Safety course in construction (20 CFR Part 1926).
