Job Description:

Position Summary

Working with the Executive Director of Development and the Director of Annual Giving, the Senior Associate Director will be responsible for dollar growth, setting strategy, and facilitating team efforts to secure leadership-level gifts and build a pipeline for major gift-level donors. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Senior Associate Director will steer the Leadership Giving efforts for the Hamilton Fund, one of the top performing college annual giving programs in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the Hamilton Fund Leadership Giving Program
  • With a strong background in donor solicitation strategies, qualify, develop and steward a portfolio of leadership giving prospects within the Hamilton Fund to secure, retain, and upgrade Hamilton Fund leadership level gifts ($2,500-$20,000)
  • Developing strategies to increase leadership giving to the College and to create a pipeline of major gift prospects
  • Must be able to travel regularly to engage prospects on an individual and small group basis
  • Using data analytics tools to track, analyze, and report on dollar growth and development
  • Coordinating the efforts of all Annual Fund officers to retain and upgrade gifts to $2,500 or more annually to the Hamilton Fund and other purposes. Leading prospect strategy, assignment and training for all team members.
  • Working with the Director of Annual giving, coordinating efforts by the Hamilton Fund Team to cultivate and manage leadership-level donors and to secure leadership-level gifts.
  • Working with the Development Leadership Team, coordinating efforts by the Individual Giving Team to increase donations to the Hamilton Fund.
  • Other duties as assigned. This position may include some class management.

The Senior Associate Director of Leadership Giving will allocate their time as outlined below:

  • Manage portfolio, including travel (70%)
  • Coordinate the prospect management efforts of all Annual Fund officers, including training and strategy (15%)
  • Overall strategy and reporting (10%)
  • Coordinate with Individual Giving Team (5%)

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; master’s desirable.
  • Demonstrated direct fund-raising, political campaign or constituent management and/or sales experience, including program management, or comparable experience in a business, nonprofit or related setting.
  • Experience developing strategic and tactical program plans
  • Experience devising and managing fund-raising or similar sales programs
  • Equivalent combination of Education and experience will be considered.

  • Capacity to master new software, especially the GiveCampus VMS platform, ascend, and any other Salesforce-based Advancement databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment

Compensation Range:

$80,000 - $90,000
