CTI is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our fast-growing engineering organization. Responsibilities of the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) include but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and protocols for information systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to determine the effectiveness of existing security measures.
- Plan, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Manage and update security systems to ensure they operate effectively and detect and remediate security incidents.
- Monitor and audit system activity logs for unusual activity and take appropriate actions to ensure the security of the systems.
- Respond to security incidents and threats to system availability, integrity, and confidentiality, by assessing the impact, identifying the root cause, and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide security training and awareness presentations to employees and contractors.
This position is at Camp H. M. Smith in Oahu, Hawaii.
Requirements
Necessary skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, information assurance, or related field
- Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance, and must be SCI eligible- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain security clearance
- Security+, GSLC, GSEC, or other DoD approved 8570 Baseline Certification in the Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II categories
- Experience with security frameworks and standards, such as, NIST, RMF, and FISMA
Beneficial skills and experience
- Experience with vulnerability management tools, such as Nessus or Qualys, and security incident management tools, such as Splunk or ArcSight
- Knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security products, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and anti-virus and anti-malware tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesand network access control
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience (10+ years preferred)
