BASIC PURPOSE: The successful candidate will be responsible to oversee all aspects of the building process around alternative fuels (CNG, RNG, EV, Hydrogen), working closely with the project managers and engineers to develop plans, establish timetables, determine labor and material costs, commission and start up systems. They are responsible for ensuring the project is completed on budget and within scope. They will also manage subcontractors and employees, assist in obtaining permits, and ensure all aspects of the project are constructed to code. The construction project manager responsibilities are overall construction, commission planning, distributing resources, time management, risk management, and managing relationships with key field stakeholders.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely manage the entire construction process of multiple active projects.
- Manage and conduct the commissioning and startup of the systems.
- Assist the PM with the review of contracts to understand the requirements related to each construction project.
- Assist the PM with Change Order review and submissions
- Use Porcore to document the construction projects and provide daily / weekly progress updates per the contract requirement(s)
- Assist the PM with the submittal of permit(s) to the AHJ’s
- Assist the PM with the utility applications for projects (electric, gas, water, etc.).
- Assist PM with the review of equipment submittals for all major equipment from external vendors.
- Support the PM(s) on meetings with the customers from a construction and commissioning prospective.
- Provide timely response to the submittal and Request for Information (RFI) process related to construction and commissioning.
- Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work to create efficiencies between internal departments for continued process improvement.
- Must adhere to and enforce quality, health, and safety standards for the company.
- Possess an OSHA 30 certification and have a general understanding of OSHA HAZWOPER concepts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Highschool diploma required
- Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Construction Management preferred
- PMP or Six Sigma preferred
- Ariel Compressor Tech Certification or equivalent preferred
Required Experience:
- 3+ years’ working in the industrial construction industry
- 3+ years’ experience working with local project AHJ, environmental and safety regulations
- 3+ years working with hazardous area equipment and services
