Assistant Manager, Clinical Services, Full Time Days 8am-4pm, Morristown Medical Center

Responsible for supervising staff and client schedules by performing diverse related duties. Provides support to the management for all clinical services, assists in the ongoing quality improvement measures for clinical service's strategic plans and ensures office staff is competent to perform patient care.


Principal Accountabilities:

1. Supports the monitoring of the clinical services' strategic plans for inpatient and outpatient diabetes education.
2. Fosters and develops a culture within clinical services that values continuing professional development and strives for excellence in the delivery of patient care.
3. Attends clinical team review meetings and any other meetings as appropriate.
4. Ensures appropriate quality standards are maintained through effective audit of clinical services.
5. Maintains medical records and all other care related documentation. 
6. Plans, develops, coordinates, and supervises the delivery of patient care services.

7. Coordinator of ADA accreditation program for MMC and system-wide diabetes education centers.

8, Direct patient care, performing diabetes self-management training, glycemic management, and insulin pump training as necessary in individual and group formats.

9. Supervision of RN, RD and medical office team members and daily operations of departments across Morristown Medical Center campus sites at 435 South Street, Main hospital, Bridgewater and Rockaway locations. 
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required:
1. Registered Nurse in the state of NJ.

2. Bachelor's degree in health discipline or related field.
3. 2 years of experience in health discipline or relevant area. 

Preferred:
1. Master's degree in health discipline or related field.
2. EPIC training preferred

3. CDCES/ CDE certification preferred or willing to obtain within one year.

4. Insulin pump certifications, or willing to obtain. 

5.  Experience with quality certification management, ideally ADA experience.
