Job Overview
Shriners Children’s Philadelphia is where hope and healing meet. Our team of highly specialized physicians provides comprehensive care for children with fractures, sports injuries, orthopedic conditions, scoliosis, spinal cord conditions, and spine injuries.
We have an opportunity for a full time Sterile Processing Technician to join our team!
Responsibilities
Selects, utilizes and maintains count sheets for instrumentation.Ensures functionality, cleanliness and completeness of instrument trays.Utilizes appropriate packaging for sterilization
Selects and maintains surgeon's preference sheets through the computer.Notifies Sterile Processing for schedule changes.Monitors and documents sterilizationMaintains the Sterile Core and O.R. suites with correct and adequate supplies.
Demonstrates competency in the operation of all equipment in this area.Retrieves floor instruments in a timely manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
Experience
- 1 year sterile processing experience required
Other
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) preferred
