About the Role
The Clinical Risk Manager Consultant provides leadership and expertise in clinical risk management and patient safety. They oversee the review of risk events and adverse incidents, analyze data to identify safety improvement opportunities, and develop systems to enhance safety and efficiency. They also support insurance-related risk activities, facilitate process improvements, and lead responses to serious patient events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field required; Nursing preferred.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Requires 7-10 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience; quality or safety experience or related is a plus; leadership experience preferred.
• Requires national certification in healthcare risk management (CPHRM) within 4 years of hire.
• Requires knowledge of state and federal laws.
• Requires a demonstrated mastery of Joint Commission standards and State Board of Health requirements relating to Patient Safety/Sentinel Events.
