POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Clinical RN
Practice: Shoulder, Knee, Elbow Surgery & Sports Medicine; Peter Millett, MD
Status: This is a full-time, year-round, benefits eligible position
Classification: Exempt - Salary
Location: This position is primarily based in Vail, CO requiring occasional travel other clinic locations.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Range: The entry salary for this position is $70,000.
Scheduled Start: immediate
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing support to the supervising physician in the medical management of patients assigned to their practice. The Registered nurse will work with assigned surgeon; time will be divided between the clinic and administrative tasks centered on patient care.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rooms patients and prepares patients for scheduled procedures.
- Prepares patient for examination, including basic diagnostic interviewing.
- Checks patients wounds and removes sutures.
- Performs patient assessments, record vitals, and update patient records.
- Provides education on procedures, answering questions and arranging for follow-ups visits.
- Collaborates with attending physician to diagnose and treat injuries and related illnesses in both clinical and surgical settings.
- Collaborates with providers, staff, and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Performs administrative tasks for the assigned practice.
- Performs procedures within the RN scope of practice as directed by the supervising physician in the clinic.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with patients, families, key decision-makers, facility and department staff, and collaborating physicians.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado (or ability to obtain)
- At least 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse
- Electronic Health Record experience, preferred.
- Demonstrated problem solving and workflow management skills required.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor with patients and foster positive, collaborative relationships with all Steadman Clinic and hospital staff involved in patient care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively.
