Job Description:
Responsible for the supervision of a team of associates within the Wellness Center offering a fully integrated Behavioral Health to include stabilization and outpatient, including individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders onsite and/or in the community. The incumbent of this position is responsible for providing clinical oversight services to clients in a program by planning, organizing, staffing, and directing patient care on a daily operational basis. This includes collaboration with the Supervisors/Director regarding the clinical needs of client and meeting all program requirements established by governing entities.
Essential Job Functions:
Under the Vice President and/or designee’s guidance and coordination, will work to establish effective working relationships with other agencies in the communities served. Participate in selection of off-site resources for needed services not provided by the program, informing other agencies about the services offered by the system. Collaborate with the Supervisors/Directors to ensure continuity of client care.
Ensure Clinical Evidence Based Practices modalities are practiced.
Collaborate with Clinical Supervisor and Psychiatrist on medication management and treatment interventions of Co-Occurring Disorder.
Collaborate with Supervisors/Directors and Psychiatrist to develop monthly training schedule to keep all staff abreast in treatment modalities.
Continuous assessment of Clinical staff and services provided.
Provide collaborative supervision (with Supervisors/Directors) to staff; aid in ensuring thorough clinical and community communication.
In collaboration with Supervisors/Directors, ensure staff are trained in positive behavior management model.
In collaboration with Supervisors/Directors, develop an evolving programmatic schedule to meet the needs of the client population while ensuring that client rights and responsibilities are maintained.
In collaboration with Supervisors/Directors, ensure program has quarterly all staff meetings for ongoing communication/training of all staff.
Provide clinical supervision and/or guidance to Clinical Supervisor, Therapists, Counselors, Family Therapist and Nursing Staff, Associate Counselors, and/or Community Support Staff
Complete monthly file review for the program, ensuring that standards are being maintained. Follow up with any deficiencies during weekly staffing and assist staff with correction of deficiencies.
Facilitate weekly clinical staffing, team and diagnostic disposition meetings. Act upon reports and recommendations from program/agency committees, program staff and client suggestions to ensure that provision of services is appropriate, adequate and of high quality. Inform Vice President/Program Director of all relevant client issues.
Provide oversight for billable services, completing weekly checks on staff productivity to ensure that the services rendered are appropriate and clinically justified. Monitor progress notes and treatment plans for thoroughness and completeness. Maintain necessary file documentation for services provided.
Adhere to and monitor program budget by reviewing service delivery plans, management of services that pertain to expenditures of allocated funds and review units of service for each client. In collaborative efforts with other site management team and Vice President, develop quarterly fiscal projections.
Provide uninterrupted coverage in accordance with licensing standards by scheduling staff, arrange substitute coverage during staff absences, and approve staff leave requests in a manner that anticipates program needs. Monitor and follow up, if needed, with all crisis calls occurring outside of program hours.
Complete employee evaluations in a timely manner to assess staff competencies. Provide clinical direction and supervision to all assigned staff, and identify performance strengths and weaknesses, performs corrective coaching in a timely and effective manner and maintains weekly supervision records as well as individualized training plans.
Ensure that orientation, in-service training and continuing education for staff members are met and that staff members receive training necessary to improve working knowledge of designated job duties to enhance service provision.
