Join our Advanced EV Development (ADVEV) team for a 6-month Student Worker Program and help build the future of mobility! Immerse yourself in Ford's center of innovation and growth, working alongside top engineering, design, and software talent to create groundbreaking EVs and contribute to key technologies like batteries, charging, and recycling. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact on the automotive industry.

What Will This Opportunity Do For You?

· You’ll grow your expertise and analytical skills through collaboration with a global, cross-functional team, ownership of a well-defined project, and exposure to new technology and tools used to improve vehicles and customer experience

What you'll do...
· Develop 3D geometry and innovative designs concepts that solve challenging crash load cases while balancing construction, material, and manufacturing methods.

· Perform and understand tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other simulations and analyses before releasing designs for production.

· Develop, study, and implement novel construction techniques and materials then drive them to production feasibility

· Hands-on prototyping, testing & troubleshooting

You'll have…

· In pursuit of a relevant Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aero Engineering or a related field

· A GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

· Analytical and creative problem-solving skills

· Must be able to work from the Long Beach, CA campus.

· Must be able to dedicate 6 months for this engagement

· Candidates must graduate and be available for full-time work prior to September 2026

· Experience using 3D CAD software collaboratively

Even better, you may have...
· Understanding of automotive seating.

· Understand of metals and polymer manufacturing processes and mechanical properties.

· Experience using CAE software for mechanical analysis
