PURPOSE:

The Vice President for Administration and Finance at CSUMB serves as a strategic leader who fosters a transparent, inclusive budget planning process that engages the campus community and aligns financial priorities with institutional goals. This role demands a visionary, applied and experienced approach to financial expertise, revenue enhancement, leveraging innovative strategies and partnerships to address resource constraints and support student success. With a focus on university goals and operational excellence, the Vice President will drive system improvements and service enhancements, building trust and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, as a key member of the President’s leadership team, the Vice President will contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, supporting positive change management and aligning administrative efforts with the University's commitment to student-centered growth.

To succeed in these objectives, the Vice President will bring personal qualities that typify a successful executive leader and strategic partner, including integrity, outstanding judgment, collaboration, vision, agility, humility, and transparency.
