This role leads the Transportation Services team, overseeing daily operations, scheduling, and compliance with transportation laws and company policies. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing performance, and analyzing reports to support operational efficiency and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares schedules, monitors operations, and processes report. 
  • Supervises the Transportation Services team and the unit’s activities. 
  • Applies knowledge of transportation regulations and laws, Company products, policies, and procedures. 
  • Analyzes and prepares reports. 
  • Responsible for the employment, supervision, performance management, salary administration, discipline, and training of directly assigned personnel. 

Requirements

  • Proficiency in computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized reservation systems. 
  • This job normally requires three years of progressively responsible positions in transportation services operations.  
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in a business environment is preferred. 
  • Commercial Driver's License certification is required. (The opportunity to secure the license through the Company paid training program is available.) 
  • A current, valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record, is required.  
  • Must be 21 years of age or older. 
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check. 
  • Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment. 
  • Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. You must also have the ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain attention to detail and accuracy, supervise and manage staff.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
  • Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
  • Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day
