Job Summary

Performing daily operations for warehouse facility including material shipping, receiving and handling, inventory maintenance and control, filing of field requisitions, preparation of materials for field installation, issuance of material, tools, equipment and fleet with significant interaction with construction teams and office personnel. Provide support to manager to move equipment. Acts as a lead to ensure associates follow the CEFS process. May oversee Warehouse operations, inventory, shipping and receiving, and services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the physical receipt, inspection and documentation of incoming/outgoing project fleet and equipment.
  • Plans, organize, implements and maintains laydown areas and warehouse space. Ensures proper housekeeping is maintained and inventory counts are completed as needed.
  • Ensures all tools and equipment are received, inspected, stored, maintained and issued in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Trains employees on proper receiving, storage and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensures preventive maintenance is tracked and completed on a timely basis to support warranty protection if applicable.
  • Monitors the collection of surplus, scrap and salvageable materials.
  • Tracks materials returned to vendor.
  • Responsible for metric reporting on inventory, issues, location, OS&D's, Preventive Maintenance, Equipment Usage, Receiving and Spare Parts.
  • Ensures compliance with appropriate corporate and warehouse specific procedures that insure that sound business practices are maintained.
  • Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value.
  • May manage the OS&D process with supply vendors and coordinates with procurement as needed.
  • May develop work schedules and assign work to associates.
  • May direct service professionals.
  • Acts as a lead and may supervise work of others.
  • May purchase small items.
  • May assist selling scrap and excessive fleet.
  • May use forklift as needed.
  • Has mechanical knowledge on maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Safely move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. 
  • Sort cargo before or after loading or unloading. 
  • Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information. 
  • Observe incoming materials, equipment or systems to determine hazards and act in a manner so as not to expose yourself or others to the observed hazards.  
  • Understand and handle shipping and receiving documentation; read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. 
  • Assist with project mobilization and demobilization planning and coordinating.  
  • Verify purchase orders against packing list.
  • Evaluate small tools and equipment and complete necessary repairs. Perform routine maintenance work. 
  • Examine/inspect tools and equipment conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving opportunities that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective action needed.
  • Data entry in automated asset/materials systems and maintenance of accurate data. 
  • Inspect associate’s work for compliance with industry standards. Point out deficiencies, explain them, and take corrective action needed.
  • Provide on-the-job training and/or mentoring to associates and laborers you are working with.  
  • Identify and assess improvement opportunities and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested. Engage with your work team to ensure we achieve zero injuries.
