Freelance Post Production Coordinator (Studios)

This role supports the production of development, broadcast, digital and social content across Vice Studios.
Working largely independently, this involves coordinating all post production resources for the successful delivery of projects on time and to the required specifications.
It operates in a fast paced environment and requires excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to adapt to the challenges of changing circumstances.
Overall you should be passionate and have a desire to work collaboratively alongside production teams to achieve results.
Responsibilities:
Assign and prioritize Assistant Editor and Data Ops assignments on a day to day basis
Assist with Assistant Editor tasks as required - including footage organization, completing stringouts and actioning edit notes
Coordinate onboarding of post freelancers with Vice emails and onto internal platforms
Coordinate booking of internal resources and infrastructure at the LA office
Communicate and coordinate post production workflows with production teams, including requesting and archiving media logs
Develop post production plans in conjunction with post team seniors.
Coordinate with third parties to collect and organize archival materials and assist with series wrap outs.
Develop and maintain a database of past projects for future usage and requests.
You have these:
2+ years experience as a post-production coordinator or assistant editor
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to communicate across a diverse department
Strong knowledge of ingest, offline and online workflows
Demonstrated experience working with a wide variety of freelancers
We’d love it if you have these:
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
Proven ability to work independently
Knowledge of media formats and video codecs
A passion for process and operations

The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
Pay Range Details:
$39.9385/hr or $319.508/day for an 8 hour guarantee.
