This is temporary or hourly paid work performing professional health care services. Positions in this job are established for less than 9 months or scheduled for less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits if the position status is temporary (i.e., SCOA 513). Positions in this job are established for greater than 9 months and scheduled for greater than 30 hours per week if the position status is permanent labor (i.e., SCOA 512). Normally permanent labor positions are eligible for Health Insurance benefits.

Looking for a flexible nursing opportunity where you can make a difference in the lives of children and families? The Northeast Health District is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Children's Medical Services (CMS) Program in a part-time, hourly role.

Whether you're an experienced nurse, a recent graduate, or returning to the workforce, we encourage you to apply. You'll provide nursing care, case management, and care coordination for children and youth with special health care needs while working alongside a supportive, interdisciplinary team. No specialty experience is required—comprehensive orientation and program-specific training are provided.

Specialty experience in genetics, neurology, or pediatric care is not required. We provide comprehensive orientation and program-specific training.


Salary: $45/hourly

Work Schedule: Up to 29 hours per week. Flexible schedule based on program needs.

Examples of duties

  • Provide nursing care and case management for pediatric clients. 
  • Conduct health assessments and monitor client progress. 
  • Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up care. 
  • Participate in telemedicine and specialty clinics. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with CMS policies. 
  • Assist families in navigating services and available resources. 
  • Participate in outreach activities as needed. 

Qualifications

Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse licens
