Data Operations Manager

Job Description:

A position for a Data Integration Operations Manager has just arised within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe, Spain. The successful candidate will join TDDT Data Integration. As a  Data Integration Operation Manager you will take responsibility for guaranteeing the right Data integration service is delivered in the Spanish and Divisional facilities, in relation to existing data interfaces done using our transversal and transnational Integration Platforms/Products. The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of IT service following all the best practices recommended by ITILv4 framework. Additionally, you will guarantee that the ecosystem related to Data Integration platforms will be maintained up to date and therefore will monitor, patch and guarantee the security implementation of the company rules to safeguard our key ecosystem from potential breakdowns and/or malicious attacks. 

Additionally, you will guarantee that the modifications and continuous improvements of existing data integrations will be managed and deployed properly, and will be the single point of contact to handle the external service contract in the Spain facilities. 

You will make the data fly inside Airbus Defence & Space and also from and to outside partners, customers or governments!

Main tasks:

• Monitoring Service Health through existing automated tools and routines, with key focus on incident management in line with existing service SLA per area

• Metrics definition for good service support level in case of external service in place 

• Lead RCA for associated problems to her/his perimeter of responsibility (local or divisional)

• Manage patch implementation, including security white papers validated by the Data Integration Solution Architect

• In charge of all EIS of all Projects related to Data Integration, following existing methodology and counting on development done either internally or externally

• Manage minor modifications associated to Data Integration in service flows demands via Change Requests

• Renewal of licenses and certificates in the Data Integration product/platforms under his/her perimeter (local or divisional)

• Being main single point of contact towards external service providers in relation to operational activities.

Deliverables:

• Service KPIs per product and location

• RCA and associated action plans

• Patches deployment planning per techno 

• G9 deliverables for all Projects in her/his perimeter

• Licensing monitoring (including related products such as antivirus)

• OneCompass up to date in relation to IS instances of all Data Integration Service components in the local area

Skills & Competencies:

• University degree in IT related field

• Existing Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.

• English negotiation level (French knowledge would be a plus)

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Over 5 years of relevant work experience as a DataOps Engineer or in the field of Operation Management

• Extensive experience in relation to ITILv4 principles and IT Service Management hands on

• Problem solving methodologies knowledge (PPS, 5whys, …) and person with key attention to detail.

• Experience in developing technical and support documentation, translate business requirements and needs into reporting and models

• Experience in querying and managing both relational and NoSQL databases

• Knowledge on DevOps methods and tools (some experience would be a plus)

• IT project management basic knowledge, waterfall and agile

• System Administration experience in relation to Windows and Linux environments would be really appreciated

• Basic knowledge about Data Analytics

• Basic knowledge about Data Governance and Data Lineage would be a plus

• Basic knowledge in building ESB and/or ETL/ELT solutions/integrations for large scale data pipelines (on-premises) would be a plus

• API based services technologies experience would be a plus
