Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Security Technician to join our team! In this role you will get to perform maintenance and sustainment of vehicle access barriers, gates, entrapment areas, turnstiles, drop arms, walls, and fencing in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Diplomatic physical security standards. This position is full time OCONUS located in Doha, Qatar.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform preventive/corrective maintenance to ensure all security equipment is operational and compliant with safety and security regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with security systems, coordinating with vendors and manufacturers as necessary.
Read and understand installation design plans, schematics, and manufacturers’ literature for electrical and electronic components.
Identify defects with various components and find suitable replacements.
Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, including controls, power supplies, gauges and sensors.
Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and multi-meters.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
5-7 years of experience in physical security systems maintenance, installation, or a related field.
Upon sponsorship you must be able to obtain a Qatar ID (QID).
Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical security systems.
Secret Clearance
Strong understanding of security system integration and network infrastructure.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Security Management.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Security Systems Technician (CSST), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Physical Security Professional (PSP).
Manufacturer-specific certifications for security equipment.
Experience working with military or government security systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
