Associate Manager, Strategy
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Manager, Strategy, are to:
- Work closely with VP, Strategy CH NA (Consumer Health North America)/ Bayer U.S. in developing and driving a regional growth strategy plan to accelerate towards becoming the Best CH company in the region, as well as enabling Bayer U.S. priorities to accelerate into towards its Best Bayer ambition;
- Design, coordinate, plan, and help manage key priority initiatives in the business, such as key operational priorities for the CH business, as well as U.S. country leadership team initiatives to reduce complexity and enable Bayer U.S. to accelerate;
- Work closely with members of the U.S. Country Leadership Team in driving priorities, as well as with CH leadership members;
- Support the design of new operating models to focus resources against most critical growth opportunities to drive our brands & customers;
- Assist in the project management / consultative support of mission critical transformation initiatives, and driving 90-day regional priorities;
- Develop key executive presentations for senior leadership in the U.S. and ExCo (Executive Committee), BoM (Board of Management) meetings;
- Work closely with and supports the business needs & goals of the CH NA President and the Bayer U.S. SBR (Senior Bayer Representative) offices as needed;
- Help develop & communicate a clear vision on the division’s overall strategy and goals. Maintain a long-term, big-picture view of the organization’s goals, foresees obstacles, & opportunities, & generates breakthrough ideas individually and with the team;
- Develop analysis of industry & market dynamics to flag risks & opportunities for the business;
- Engags in strategic planning processes, with direct collaboration with Global and local teams and functional counterparts;
- Support VP, Strategy in advising business unit CH general managers on allocating resources within their organizations. Resources this role will consider as in scope for portfolio prioritization are P+I, Innovation investment funding, cross functional resources, and direct headcount;
- Constructively challenges status quo thinking, while providing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to set divisional objectives. Applies broad knowledge when addressing complex issues, taking into account all critical information when making team decisions.

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree;
- Build effective teams, cultivates innovation, learning and change agility, customer focus, action oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans, and aligns, drives stakeholder engagement, effectively manages key stakeholders;
- Excellent financial management skills to critically and objectively assess programs and investments versus results. Ability to streamline operational processes and drive efficiency through the use of technology;
- Strong project management skills to successfully drive and execute a project from start to finish;
- Superior analytical ability, assessing different models & related outputs;
- Excellent communication skills required;
- Must be able to create an environment that encourages innovation and risk taking;
- ability to engage in positive/productive debate with the leaders of key internal constituent groups;
- Ability to collaborate and influence key stakeholders;
- Understands P&L (Profit & Loss) dynamics to help make key recommendations to drive P&L.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor���s degree, (Master of Science Degree at a top-ranking institution preferred) plus 8-10 years of strategic planning, consulting and operational experience in Life Science or CPG industries, and / or consulting firms;
- Experience with business forecasting a plus.
