As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and enhance manufacturing processes through the study of products and manufacturing methods. The engineer provides top-tier engineering and manufacturing support to ensure timely and cost-effective hardware delivery with superior performance and reliability that surpasses customer expectations. They collaborate with the Integrated Product Team to design, control, and enhance the manufacturing process and system design. Additionally, they utilize their skills to implement improvements that reduce cycle time and costs, improve productivity, and maintain a high level of safety and product quality in the manufacturing environment.

Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).

What You Will Do:

• Improve production cell layouts
• CAD facilities layouts to reflect new equipment
• Implement lean principles
• create tooling
• Support the manufacturing floor with process changes.

What You Will Learn:

• Aerospace principles for tooling manufacture
• Presentation and communication skills
• Project management skills

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Problem-Solving
  Methodologies.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
