The Organizational Activities Interface (OAI)/Technical Support Engineer shall provide technical field operation services to the Kuwait Patriot customer. The OAI will advise and assist with training and support of the; Patriot Brigade (BDE) Battalion (BN) Fire Unit (FU) personnel. The OAI must be qualified as a Patriot Fire Unit trainer. The OAI provides technical assistance and supports Kuwait Air Defense Forces in its operator training to battery and battalion personnel to maintain, improve, and upgrade skills.
Provides Technical Advice and Assists Battery Personnel with Operational and Tactical Procedures Associated with the Patriot Missile System. Conducts operation and management of exercises utilizing practice scenarios with the Patriot ECS and ICC. Daily duties and training includes but is not limited to; FMS software loading, ICC / ECS Tactical Initialization procedures, PDB 8 operational software and hardware capabilities and limitations; Tactical Ballistic Missile (TBM) engagement procedures, Evaluation, Decision and Weapon Assignment (EDWA), IFF mode 5 operations and decision criteria, Air Battle Management (ABM), ABM RAL Scripting, March-order and Emplacement, Communications (COMMO), Radar Mapping, Reconnaissance Selection and Occupation of Position (RSOP) to include Patriot CRG and Remote Launch Operations. Advising Patriot Operators (14E & 16T) and Maintainers (24T) on Organizational level Diagnostic and Fault Recognition procedures. This position is in Kuwait.
Required Skills:
Must have at least four years of experience operating the Patriot Air Defense System.
Should be familiar with Patriot Technical Manuals & RPSTL’s.
Must have directly related experience in the Patriot Evaluation Section and Patriot Tactical Operations at the Battalion or higher level.
Demonstrated experience with integrated Battalion and Fire Unit-to-Fire Unit (FU-FU) operations.
Demonstrated experience with Patriot Launcher M902+ ELES & M903 Operations and Maintenance and have prior experience teaching March Order and Emplacement as well as evaluating Forklift and GMT Missile Reload.
Demonstrated experience instructing Patriot organizational classes in the classroom and on the tactical equipment or Patriot Conduct of Fire Trainer in the following areas: RSOP/Survey, March Order and Emplacement, System Initialization and Mapping, Air Defense Mission (ADM) against Air-Breathing Threats (ABT) and Tactical Ballistic Missiles (TBM), Guided Missile Reload and ARTEP Battle Drills/Gunnery Tables.
Demonstrated experience instructing Patriot operator and maintainer classes utilizing Reconfigurable Table Top Trainer including Console Maintenance and support, Installation of software updates, System Initialization and Mapping, Air Defense RAL Generation (ABM) as well as PMET software courses.
Must have successfully completed the Patriot Operator and System Mechanic MOS 14E/14H or 140E conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or an equivalent course of instruction.
Desired Skills:
Working knowledge using and troubleshooting IP based network communications / CAT6 / Fiber Optic and RF LMR 400/600 cable troubleshooting and repair.
Prior experience with fixed site AMG operations and Red Voice Network setup and management desired.
Working knowledge on Tactical Data Links and operations (TADIL-J 3011B and 3011C, and PADIL) including the Air Defense Systems Integrator (ADSI) and BLOS Tactical Workstation.
OAI will also assist in the generation of Defense Design simulations on BLOS BSD Tactical Planner and both RT3 and OTM scripting for ABM testing and evaluation scenarios.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Power Point.
Must have a current Secret Security Clearance
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 2 years of related experience.
Experience can be substituted for educational requirements 2 years for every year of higher education.
Graduate of a US Army 14E/140E Course or equivalent course
Must have at least 12 years of related experience without a degree.
