Warehouse Lead Person

 

Seneca Foods in Clyman, Wisconsin is currently seeking a Warehouse Lead Person to join our team.  Seneca Foods offers an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, paid time off and much more!  Help us make our Farm Fresh Goodness Great! 

 

Responsible under the Warehouse Manager for coordination of all activities in warehouse including (not limited to): truck/rail dock operations, driver/manager of all Lift Truck drivers training/certification as well as maintenance requirements, daily/weekly row and stack audits, supervise regular and seasonal employees in groups of 2-25 people, and enforce all Company work, safety and GMP policies.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the organization of work, assign duties to employees, and verify the completion of proper procedures over both shifts.
  • Ensure daily forklift pre-work checks are done on each lift truck by operators and that operators are following maintenance procedures with trucks and batteries.
  • Train new and/or returning seasonal employees to company policies in scanning and movement of products.
  • Train new and/or seasonal employees in shipping and receiving operations, loading operations, lift truck handling operations, and certifying of new drivers.
  • Enforce standards regarding safety, driver discipline, proper stacking, proper scanning, and maintaining general accountability for all conduct therein.
  • Responsible for housekeeping of the general work area.
  • Observe all company work, safety and GMP policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of a High School Education or equivalent. 
  • Required to maintain a Company certification to operate a lift truck. 
  • Must have proven experience operating a lift truck and have high-stack abilities.
