Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Supplier Quality Engineer Asc. In this role, your technical and business skills will be applied through hands on experience in a variety of settings; from Lockheed Martin factory environments and office settings to supplier factory environments deployed throughout the US. You will have the ability to deliver impactful results for the business and build effective relationships with stakeholders and leaders.
Common objectives of the Supplier Quality Engineer role include: Protecting the LM Aero supply chain by ensuring quality performance of assigned suppliers, Proactively working across business functions to collaborate and efficiently solve technical problems, Collaboration with executive leadership at supplier sites and LM Aero to build effective relationships and deploy long term quality strategies, Flexibility to deploy to various supplier sites to support the mission.

This job posting is for a deployed Supplier Quality Engineer. Deployment locations in Orange County, CA based. In addition, the position may require the candidate to participate in a 6-week on-boarding training in Fort Worth prior to identification of assignment location. Up to 50% travel is required for this position.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another related technical discipline.
Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Desired skills
Technical or business internship experience is a plus.
Self-starter with a proven track record of success working independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality science tools and methodologies.
Proficient in quality principles and standards, with a focus on AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.
Experience in manufacturing, machining, or assembly environments.
