Sr. Project Manager

IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager to support the USDA, Forest Service PMOSS (Program Management Office Support Services). The Senior Consultant is responsible for supporting the Project Manager/Team Lead in the execution of the project approach. Leads the development of project artifacts to ensure delivery of client needs and expectation.

Responsibitlies:

• Lead the execution of key activities, tasks, and project artifacts (e.g., presentations, reports, dashboards, training, communications, standard operations procedures) related to the projects.
• Draft project plans and implementation plans for approved projects in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Draft and update project schedules including milestones.
• Ensure delivery of quality service and routinely interacting with the client to understand business need.
• Work collaboratively with team members, complete work assignments and execute next steps.
• Working knowledge of PMI and Project Management guidelines: project approach, process, and procedure.
• Review and correct work discrepancies.
• Liaising between the technical team and business units to clarify business needs.
• Prepare for requirements gathering sessions by reviewing project artifacts; support requirements gathering sessions during facilitation.
• Leads the development of UAT artifacts including test plans and test scenarios, executing test scripts, and managing the issue register; participates and supports all aspects of UAT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, which may include Business or Computer Science with 3-4 years of a related experience OR 8 years of project management or related experience.
• Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., pmi, agile, scrum).
• Ability to analyze and solve problems creatively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  

Preferred:

• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.

Clearance Requirements:

• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
