HuntressAbout the role
Reports to: Director of Security and IT
Location: Remote US
Compensation Range: $115,000 to $130,000 base plus bonus and equity
What We Do:
Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.
We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.
What You’ll Do:
You play a key role in connecting our IT capabilities with Huntress's evolving business needs, helping us think strategically about technology and how it can help our business scale and grow. Your work involves building strong partnerships across our business units, understanding their unique goals and challenges, and serving as a knowledgeable guide for their technology solutions. You'll have the opportunity to lead the way in designing, evaluating, choosing, and carefully implementing robust and scalable IT solutions and systems that directly support Huntress's exciting growth and long-term vision.
We count on your thoughtful planning and execution for these important projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. A big part of your success will be collaborating closely with our operational teams by creating clear documentation, delivering helpful training, and ensuring a smooth handoff of routine tasks, all to ensure our solutions thrive. Your passion for leveraging technology will help us solve interesting challenges, keep our systems running smoothly, find new efficiencies, and collectively build an innovative IT environment that powers Huntress's success in our dynamic, fully remote world.
Responsibilities:
- Build and independently develop strong relationships with stakeholders across all business units. You'll be a key connection, bridging communication gaps and building trust to understand their current and future IT system needs, pain points, and strategic goals.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications and solution designs.
- Lead the discovery, design, selection, implementation, and integration of new IT systems and SaaS applications (e.g., collaboration tools, CRM, HRIS, marketing automation tools, etc.) to meet business needs.
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and ensuring they deliver expected outcomes and business value.
- Collaborate with Internal Security, Finance, and Legal while procuring and implementing new solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, architecture, and processes.
- Partner with IT Operations and other departmental Ops teams (RevOps, HRISOps, MarketingOps, etc.) to effectively communicate with users, document procedures, and hand off day-to-day operational tasks for implemented solutions.
- Identify and effectively communicate opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimization to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct regular system monitoring and performance analysis to ensure optimal functionality and proactively address potential issues, minimizing business impact from changes.
- Implement and maintain system configurations and system updates with a strong focus on security best practices for SaaS environments and employee endpoints.
- Assist in the development, refinement, and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new tech and software. You will be responsible for recommending solutions that will make the biggest impact on our company's success and strategy. This involves understanding business needs and how they align with our IT direction, helping us prioritize projects effectively.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of software solutions as needed.
- Provide an exceptional internal customer service experience, offering technical guidance and support during solution design and transition phases.
