THE ROLE

The Business Insights Associate will directly impact our data and business intelligence strategies and play a critical role in our use and understanding of data, both on a day-to-day basis and across various strategic initiatives. The role requires end-to-end analysis, including querying databases, designing reporting dashboards, and communicating results to management.

This person will support various data-driven projects, provide actionable insights and solutions to complex business challenges, conduct advanced business analysis, and oversee project implementation. You will approach ambiguous projects with proactiveness, tenacity, and structure. You will have the opportunity to work cross-departmentally and gain experience in all facets of the business operations of a premium experiences company specializing in delivering holistic solutions for sports and entertainment organizations and venues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Build high-quality data visualizations, dashboards, and reports for organization-wide use, including executive management.
• Help maintain organization data infrastructure, including internal & external integrations within the data warehouse, to support the reporting initiatives of the Business Intelligence team.
• Query and analyze complex, high-volume data sets, generating ad-hoc and ongoing reports and dashboards to inform business decisions on hospitality, merchandise, attractions, and more.
• Develop detailed financial and analytical models to further business performance and deal negotiation.
• Identify new KPIs to track metrics against goals and provide actionable business insights.
• Present findings and recommendations to all stakeholders, including executive management and third parties.
• Assist in validating and QA of new data sources for our data warehouse and additional automated solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform the essential duties at the highest level. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, or Quantitative Field; equivalent degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (PowerBI is preferred).
• Detail-oriented team player who can multi-task within a fast-paced environment, work with ambiguity, learn new skills quickly, and prioritize against competing deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex results clearly, concisely, and credible to various stakeholders.
• Curious self-starter who quickly learns new concepts showcases strong problem-solving skills and demonstrates attention to detail.
• Intellectual curiosity, creativity, tenacity in analysis, and accountability for results.
• Willingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environment.
