Position Overview:
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Transportation Operator I to provide transportation services to Western State Hospital (WSH) and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA). Duties include the delivery of laundry, food, trash carts and supplies to multiple facilities and provide transportation services for patients as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of laundry, packages, patient care equipment, office items to various WSH units and CCCA
- Pick up linens from CCCA and WWC and bring back to WSH for processing
- Removing trash from the units and take to the
dumpster for disposal
- Pick up patient property from the units and Admissions Office and take to Patient Property for storage
- Transport patients and staff to medical appointments
- Recognize and report corrective maintenance (CM) to the work order control center and to perform corrective maintenance in accordance with the work order control system – TMS
- Assist with snow and ice removal

Minimum Qualifications

- Valid Virginia Operator's license/Driver's License with safe driving record

- Experience working in a health care facility
- Bilingual
