The Opportunity:

As a systems security and network security engineer, you can identify the tactics, techniques, and procedures needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to develop and implement security solutions that will protect our Navy.

On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network and security devices. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in cybersecurity risk management and analysis, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. In this role, you’ll closely impact next-generation Navy technologies by safeguarding our most critical networks and systems. What You’ll Work On: 

• Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. 

• Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.  

• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas and leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:   

• 3+ years of experience with complex cybersecurity projects and integrated systems

• 3+ years of experience with networking, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing protocols

• 1+ years of experience with Cloud-based technologies, including Azure or AWS

• Experience with security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxies, intrusion prevention systems and intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools

• Experience with cyber hardening, vulnerability management, scanning, assessment, and associated tools

• Ability to analyze and communicate complex technical challenges to both technical and non-technical clients and stakeholders

• Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

• Sec+ Certification

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience with DoD or Navy cybersecurity networks, including RDT&E and operational networks

• Experience with RedSeal, network modeling, or model-based systems engineering tools

• Experience with command line interfaces and tools, including cURL

• Experience with Python or high-level scripting languages

• Knowledge of red teaming and penetration testing processes

• Knowledge of Application Program Interface methodologies

• TS/SCI clearance

• Master’s degree

• CCNP Certification
