Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, accounts payable, billing, payroll, cash management, and local tax filings.- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, cash forecasts, and other analyses for management review.- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal accounting policies, and other regulatory requirements.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements in accounting processes.- Assist in the administration of the NetSuite ERP system to maintain and optimize month end close, financial reporting, billing, and other accounting activities.- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff.- Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA preferred.- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting roles, with a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience preferred. - Strong working knowledge of GAAP accounting and internal controls.- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software and ERP systems, Netsuite experience a plus.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.- Experience working with startups or technology companies is a plus.- Exposure to fixed assets, lease accounting, and/or revenue recognition preferred.
