Veracode is seeking Research Intern to join our 12-week Summer Internship Program. The Research Intern will work with guidance from Researchers and Engineers to assist in building static analysis tools.  They will work diligently to build prototype capabilities with the assistance of Senior Research and Engineering staff.  They will ask questions, summarize work, and participate in design conversations.

Key Aspects of the Role:

• Develop prototype capabilities.
• Engage in design and review conversations.
• Work in a small group of Security and Software experts
• Assist in new analysis capabilities leveraging a variety of technologies or languages, such LLVM, Python, or Rust

Requirements:

• Experience writing applications in Python, Rust, C++, or similar language.
• Git, Cmake/Ninja, or similar build tools.
• Ability to confidently build open-source tools and report back on key features.
• Willingness to try, and fail, building something complicated!
• Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university with an anticipated graduation date between December 2023-May 2025.
• Must be able to work a 40-hour work week (Monday-Friday) between May 31st- August 18, 2023.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
