Senior Software Engineer

Looking for experienced software engineer with aptitude to learn new technologies, troubleshoot system errors and improve processes to maintain security compliance for a commercial user application using cloud technology.

Must be a US Citizen based in the United States to be considered for this role. 

The ideal candidate for this position will perform the following:

• Analyze security requirements and identify and implement the best remediation plan
• Analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot, coding, testing and debug software programs using cloud technology. 
• Works well independently as well as collaboratively.
• Usually works with little supervision, conferring with superiors on unusual or extremely complex matters. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. 
• Provide guidance, assistance, and technical leadership to lower-level software Engineers on more complex/large projects 
• Interacts internally/externally on an as-needed basis to exchange information
• Evaluate new technology that could improve our products and processes
• Have passion for the software development field and actively stays on top of technology trends and best practices.

Job Qualifications

• US Citizen based in the United States
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field is required.
• 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms, cloud technologies/deployments and cloud Native architecture
• Experience with docker and container management platforms (ECS, Kubernetes, etc) 
• Proficient user of linux operating system
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as relationship building 
• Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical, business, and design information
• Experience with development tools such as Eclipse, GIT, jUnit, Postman, YourKit
• Oracle Database programming including Database design, PL/SQL
• Need to have concept of micro services – benefits, limitations, challenges
• Familiarity of CI/CD and development best practices, especially around automation and testing
• Java (core and EE), object-oriented design, design patterns
• Experience with REST APIs
• Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $84,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
