Staff Accountant

Essential Functions:

• Assist Accounting Manager and Controller with Financial statement preparation
• Prepare reports to assist the Controller with the budget
• Report and analyze budget variance
• Prepare monthly bank account reconciliation reports
• Assist management with UDS and Medicaid/Medicare Cost Reports
• Identify control issues and recommend corrective actions
• Reconcile daily cash transactions
• Prepare and review closing entries
• Prepare analysis of aging accounts receivable
• Ensure accrual entries are revered
• Maintain various spreadsheets for fixed assets, grants, and accruals
• Assists finance team with monthly closings
• Perform accounts payable/receivable, billing and purchasing duties as needed
• Other functions as assigned by eh Sr. Accountant, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer

• None

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance From an accredited Institution
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position
• Abila MIP experience is a must
• Health Care experience is a plus
• Reconciliation and account analysis experience
• 10-key experience
