IT Security Manager

About the Role

• Design and implement Jump's security architecture, focusing on protecting sensitive financial data while keeping us very high velocity

• Own our technical infrastructure, ensuring it's robust, scalable, and aligned with modern DevSecOps practices

• Build and maintain SOC 2 compliance and other security frameworks essential for fintech

• Partner with engineering to embed security best practices in our AI development pipeline

• Lead incident response, threat monitoring, and security awareness programs

• Define and implement IT policies that protect our team while maintaining the agility of a startup

• Help sales fill out, and automate filling out, DDQs & security questionnaires

• Help Jump stay the category leader, trusted and loved by customers

• Help build Jump into a career-making, exceptional place to work
  

About You

• You want to have real impact helping to build an early-stage AI software company serving financial advisors and other financial services

• You understand what it means to work at a very early stage tech company and are super excited about the related opportunities and challenges

• You're passionate about the intersection of AI and security, understanding both the unique challenges and opportunities it presents

• You thrive in environments where you can shape security culture from the ground up

• You believe security should enable business success, not just prevent failure

• You're comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting quickly as our needs evolve

• You're excited about building security practices that scale with rapid growth

• You have strong opinions about security, weakly held - you know when to be flexible and when to stand firm

What You’ve Done

• 5+ years of experience in IT security, with exposure to cloud security and modern infrastructure

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and infrastructure-as-code

• Track record of implementing security programs in high-growth environments

• Understanding of AI/ML security considerations is a plus

• Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)

• Background in financial services security is preferred but not required

• History of building and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure at scale

Compensation

• Competitive salary ranging from $140,000 - $200,000 based on experience
