Position Overview
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a position to serve as the Office of IES (OIES) Special Projects Manager. This position develops policies and procedures for IES projects including Inter-Governmental Agreements (IGA’s), audits and newly developed IES projects. Coordinates, directs, organizes, executes and evaluates a variety of plans that promotes services to Illinois residents via external providers; participates in planning and programming agency activities with both internal and external partners mandated by the Secretary, audit findings or legislation; assists or supplements other OIES administrative areas; investigates grant opportunities and requesting grant funding from a variety of sources; acts as Audit Liaison for OIES. Acts as Grant Coordinator for OIES and prepares written reports that analyze and summarize operational, quality and audit improvements.
Essential Functions
- Serves as the Integrated Eligibility System (IES) Special Projects Manager.
- Plans, implements, monitors, and evaluates Inter-Governmental Agreements (IGA’s) with external providers for access and usage of Provider Portal.
- Acts as Audit Liaison for IES.
- Acts as Grant Coordinator for IES.
- Prepares written reports that analyze and summarize operational, quality and audit improvements.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with course work in a social or human services field.
- Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative public assistance experience in a health or human services organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of professional experience developing policies and procedures for special projects and audits related to public assistance.
