Job Position Summary: Responsible for providing support for activities related to Financial Reporting and Close, Accounts Receivable and Banking, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, Audit Support, Project Management and Maintaining an accurate General Ledger.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and accurate financial data to support business operations.
- Key contributor to monthly close process and analysis of results.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance inter-company activity. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP) and relevant accounting standards.
- Responsible for full A/R process and minimizing customer overdues.
- Oversite of weekly A/P processing and Treasury management.
- Record banking transactions and reconcile cash accounts daily.
- Assist in development of weekly cash flow projections.
- Maintain and update fixed asset register and depreciation schedule.
- Participate in inventory cycle counting process and year-end physical inventory.
- Liaise with external auditors throughout the year to support requests.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with various in-house departments to achieve financial goals.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency of the Finance Department.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulation and standard. Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Skills Requirements:
- 3-5 years of accounting experience with increasing complexity and responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA and/or master’s degree is a plus.
- Audit experience with a public accounting firm is preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and independently prioritize in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Strong computer proficiency (advanced Excel skills) and experience with integrated ERP systems. ERP Implementation experience is a bonus.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Working Conditions:
- This position is an on-site position.
- Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
Physical Requirements:
- May have to lift up to twenty (20) pounds at a time, as required.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
