Position Summary:  Participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical transformation activities for an assigned service or population.  Under the supervision of and direct reporting to the Manager of Quality and Patient Safety, and in collaboration with the clinical team and Medical Staff,  this position is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical outcomes and processes supporting patient care.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical services and quality initiatives
  • Supports key strategies to drive quality improvement to meet strategic and clinical excellence objectives
  • Participates in the development, deployment and monitoring of safety and quality improvement initiatives.
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, supports and facilitates the standardization of best practices to promote high reliability.
  • Gathers, analyzes and reports data related to performance and achievement of project objectives and timelines. Tracks issues and works to improve processes, efficiency and compliance of best practice standards including electronic documentation standards.
  • Serves on specialty and/or unit committees, councils, and teams, as well as professional organizations.
  • Facilitates compliance with Joint Commission (TJC) standards and regulations of other appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Handles sensitive, confidential information responsibly
  • Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

   

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse, BSN required, MSN preferred or ancillary clinician with equivalent degree in area of expertise
  • 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting
  • CPHQ or CPPS Certifications preferred
