Position Summary
Arrow ARC Staffing is seeking experienced and qualified Long Term Care Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide patient-centered, skilled nursing care for Veterans residing in long-term care units at the Canandaigua and Bath VA Medical Centers. These are temporary, full-time contract positions supporting the VA’s 24/7 inpatient care operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Veterans with chronic illness or disabilities in a long-term care setting
- Promote patient independence, dignity, and quality of life through individualized care planning
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate ongoing care services
- Administer medications and perform clinical interventions per physician orders and VA standards
- Document all care provided in the VA’s electronic health record (EHR) system accurately and timely
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
- Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in long-term care nursing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work evening and night shifts, including rotating weekends and federal holidays
- Ability to pass VA credentialing and onboarding requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a VA or federal healthcare facility
- Certification or accreditation through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Strong knowledge of chronic illness management and geriatric care best practices
